Malay

Names: Malaien, Malay, Karum (=indian Name), Lari (=iranian Name), Saipan (isle of Saipan)

Description: Biggest malaioid Gamefowl type; 27 inches to more then 32 inches tall. Oriental strain main family is Malaian type. Very high standing ragged Fighter with remarkcable temperament, half naked, because of scanty plumage, All other racefowl was bred on malaioid strains, who are owning yellow Skin pigment and red earlobes. In meantime Malaytyp is spread all over the world. In Germany noticed since year 1570 through old oilpainting.

Origin: Indomalaian Region, but should be more region North India.

Particularities: Special Malay sign is the so-called significant "three-bow-line", that means, the neck bow, the back bow and the tail bow are showing that uniculary speciality. Often the wings are hold like two praying hands above the back, to let the middle bow look to be perfectly. In show type Malay have to present the strawberry (walnut) comb in front of skull. The pit type often is showing pea comb and longer faces, for example in Saipan and Lari type.

Weight: Rooster: 4,5kg to ca 6.5kg only some rare ones in 2nd year.
Hen: 3,5kg to 4,2kg in 2nd year.
Hatching egg: 55g bis 72g
